Nico is a review copilot at trynico.io. This policy is written for contract PDFs, change orders, and supporting images from Canada and the US.

What we collect

Documents and images you upload to a free check. A cookie (nico_tool_id) and a hashed IP so we can give one free completed analysis. Optional account email if you save a result (magic link or Google). Tally form answers if you waitlist, apply, or send feedback. If you use Watcher, Nico stores project files, messages, issue history, and your confirmed decisions. Payment metadata if you buy an extra review or Watcher access (Lemon Squeezy is merchant of record).

Why

To run the check you asked for, enforce the first-free-then-$9 rule, improve Nico only if you turn on the optional improvement box, and contact you if you applied. We do not sell your job files.

Retention

Improvement use is off by default. Free uploads go to private temporary storage so the requested analysis can run or be retried. They expire after 24 hours and are cleared by daily cleanup, which may run the following day. Nico stores the resulting review separately. Anonymous share links expire after 24 hours. Unsaved reviews without improvement consent are queued for deletion after 24 hours; opted-in unsaved reviews after 30 days. Cleanup runs daily, so deletion may occur the following day. A review saved to an account stays available until you delete it or request deletion at hello@trynico.io. Watcher project files and issue history remain until you delete the project or request deletion, including after paid access ends.

Processors

Supabase (reviews and identity), OpenRouter (the model that reads the upload and related Watcher replies and evidence), Lemon Squeezy (payments), Tally (forms), PostHog (product analytics), Vercel (hosting). We do not reuse the old Chrome-extension database.

Your rights

Access, correction, deletion. Canadian residents may contact us about PIPEDA rights. EU/UK visitors may have additional rights if they use the tools. Email hello@trynico.io.

Children

Nico is not for children. Do not upload a minor’s personal information.
